Birthday Balloons!

...Annnnd I am back! I apologize that I have been a little MIA...somehow 2015 is already flying by and this month has been out of control. But I have been doing lots of crafting! Today I have another card using the Celebrate Today stamp set (I LOVE it... who doesn't love balloons? Specifically paper ones because I know for some reason some people don't like real ones).

I stamped the balloon in Coastal Cabanna on a piece of vellum paper, letting it dry to prevent really inky fingers (learn from my experience). On the reverse side, I heat embossed the confetti in white. The bottom part is from the Birthday Bash Designer Series Paper (DSP). Everything was put together on piece of Whisper White Cardstock on Hello Honey Cardstock and then mounted on Night of Navy. All of the colours on the card can be found through the Birthday Bash DSP collection. Great colours right?

Hope you like it!

Washi Celebration!

Happy Humpday! This time of year is very busy for Student affairs. When you couple that with additional activities, you week just gets jammed pack! This upcoming weekend, I am doing my very first card party for a friend! I thought I would give you a peek at one of the cards I am considering as I put the card materials together (I apologize for the not great picture).

This idea I loved for how simple it was to make the card look great. I found it on Pinterest, which linked it back to Nutmeg Creations who has some great ideas! For this card base I used Smoky Slate cardstock. On the white cardstock, I stamped the confetti images  and "celebrate" from Celebrate Today  in Hello Honey. The rest was all done using the Birthday Bash washi sheets dye cut for the balloon and cut into strips for the sides. I added the balloon tail by manipulating the tail in the Celebrate Today set. As tricky as it can be to sometimes get the photopolymer stamps on straight, this was so convenient that it allowed me to make it curvy. I finished the card by adding just a few sequins to glam it up.

This is a great card to start out with! I hope you like it :)

Lots of Love!

Hello! Am I the only one who thinks that the weekend goes by ridiculously fast?! I always have such big plans to be productive and time just flies by! However, I do have two projects to show you that I did manage to do. When working on them, I realize that I now have tons of shades of pink...you need a pink ink? I'm your girl.

The first one is something similar to one I saw on Pinterest, using the Sheltering Tree set from the 2015 Occasions Catalogue.

I stamped the trunk of the tree in Crumb Cake and used Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette for the tree leaves. I wanted to add a little bit more so did some dabs of Strawberry Slush. I used a punch for the hearts and put little rhinestones in the middle. The Whisper white base is embossed using the Filigree embossing folder.

My second project is another attempt at a baby card using the Celebrate Today set.

I used Pink Pirouette and Strawberry Slush to stamp the balloons. This was my first try using the masking technique for the balloons and I think it turned out ok! I heat embossed the baby banner in gold and used gold foil paper embossed with Decorative Dots as a base. I might decide it needs something more at the bottom, but for now, I think it works.

I hope everyone has a good week!
Cheers:)

Balloons, Birthday and Babies!

Happy New Year! I apologize for the delay in posting again. It was caused from a combination of getting back into the habit for work and waiting for some new products to arrive. In case you haven't heard me talk about it yet, there is a new Occasions Catalogue out AND Sale-A-Bration! Basically Sale-A-Bration is a way for you to get free product-every $60 gets you free stuff! It is both wonderful and dangerous.

This is one of the new sets that I was so excited to try! It is called Celebrate Today and has coordinating framelits. I stamped the balloons in Wisteria Wonder, Smoky Slate and then silver on the velum paper before cutting them out. On the background, I used the Decorative Dots folder. I added some All is Calm washi tape on the side and stamped the sentiment form the same set. On the balloons I used a glue dot to add some whisper white baker's twine and some silver ribbon went onto the vellum balloon.

This card I made for my friend Danielle's birthday (Happy birthday D! Go packers!). I love the flower patch stamp (see previous) and used a combination of Wisteria Wonder, Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey to stamp the flowers. I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder before gluing it onto a piece of gold foil sheet. I took the sentiment from the Endless Birthday Wishes set and added a little bit of bling to the whole thing (which I coloured with Blendabilities!)

My last card is my first thought for a baby card. My older cousin is due in March and she is heading back to where we grew up for her baby shower. I haven't decided if this is actually going to be THE card for it but it definitely is a start! I used Crumb Cake and Blushing Bride for the colours and the stamp set is Snuggles and Smooches, with the sentiment being from Itty Bitty Banners.

That is all I have for right now but I will be trying out the rest of my new stuff in the next week or so! If you want to make any of these cards or have an idea for one you want help with, let me know and I am more than happy to help!
